A simple truth

Makarios Collective is rooted in a simple truth: what we are given is meant to be cared for.

Our name comes from Makarios (mak-ar'-ee-os) — meaning blessed. We believe these blessings come from our Creator, expressed through the land, the seasons, and the quiet abundance of nature when it’s respected rather than rushed.

We grow elderberries, gooseberries, and heritage botanicals with the understanding that provision carries responsibility. Healthy soil, patient cultivation, and thoughtful harvests are not just practices — they are acts of stewardship. What is entrusted to us, we protect and pass on with care.

Makarios Collective is a gathering of growers and makers who believe food should honor both its source and the people it serves. Old-world plants, grown with modern intention. Products shaped by gratitude, restraint, and respect for what has been provided.

We don’t believe abundance is something to take.
We believe it’s something to tend.
